2024 Year End Fundraising Letter

Dear Friends and Supporters of the Frontier Animal Society (SAFAS),

In late September, we shared a heartfelt tribute on our Facebook page for a little Jack Russell named Jack, after his adopters reached out to inform us of their difficult decision to let Jack go. At 15 years old, his health was declining, and it was time to say goodbye.

While we were deeply saddened by the news, it also served as a poignant reminder of a life well lived. Jack, who was rescued in 2011 from a high-kill pound just hours before he was scheduled for euthanasia, was given a second chance and spent 13 blissful years happy and adored. He left this world feeling safe and loved, with his family by his side.

Like Jack, each rescued animal’s journey is a testament to resilience and hope. They often start from a place of uncertainty, abandonment, neglect, and fear. But what truly matters isn’t how their stories begin; it’s the love, joy, and happiness they find after being rescued that counts the most. These joyful moments are beautifully captured in the photographs we receive from our adopters.

We love the images of happy dogs enjoying lazy days at the lake, spirited walks in the woods, or simply lounging on the couch, and of cats comfortably curled up or nestled in the arms of their devoted families. We can’t help but smile at the candid snapshots of our adopted pets enthusiastically expressing their love for their humans in the most tender or goofiest ways.

Thanks to our adopters and the generous support of donors like you, we’ve given thousands of cats and dogs a much-deserved second chance. Their stories and photos serve as uplifting reminders of the transformative impact of a loving family—something we strive to offer every animal that comes through our door.

As the saying goes, “A picture is worth a thousand words.” We’re honoured to share this heartwarming video montage featuring our adopted animals—each photo a testament to the love and joy they’ve found in their forever homes.

With your support, we will continue to provide animals in need with the care and healing they deserve. As the holiday season approaches, be kind, be compassionate, and if you can, be generous.
