Dear Friends of the Frontier Animal Society (SAFAS),
As the year comes to a close, animals continue to arrive at our shelter, each one hopeful for a chance to start over.
Some, like the litter of tiny kittens dumped in a ditch inside a broken, filthy carrier with their eyes sealed shut from infection, arrived in dire circumstances — small, vulnerable, frightened, and alone. Others, like Pompon, a senior Shih Tzu, came to us after their lives were upended by sudden and unexpected change.
Though their stories may be marked by hardship, abandonment, or loss, they aren’t broken — only terribly let down, often scared, and confused. Once in our care, they find safety, comfort, and love.
Our shelter isn’t where their story ends; it’s where hope and trust begin anew.
In the words of the late Jane Goodall, a compassionate voice for animals, “You cannot share your life with a dog, or a cat, and not know perfectly well that animals have personalities, minds, and feelings.” At our shelter, we see this every day. Each animal is an individual, deserving of kindness, compassion, and the chance to thrive.
With your support, fear becomes comfort. Loneliness becomes love. Uncertainty becomes the security of a caring home. Every gesture — every meal, every warm blanket, every vet visit, every gentle touch — is a promise that their lives matter.
Your gift today gives a homeless animal a safe place to land. It becomes a life transformed, a story rewritten.
Please give what you can to help us continue this life-saving work. For every animal still waiting, hope begins with you.
Donations can be made by check payable to SAFAS and mailed to 2405 Griffin Road, Ogden (QC) J0B 3E3, by e-transfer to [email protected], or online via PayPal or credit card by clicking the “Donate” button.
On behalf of everyone at the Frontier Animal Society, we wish you a safe and happy holiday season.
Tippy, Whispy, Breezy, Dippy (the little kittens abandoned in a ditch), and sweet Pompon want to thank you for giving them hope and a second chance.
